ABOUT US

ISW CARE are passionate about providing young people excellent support and accommodation. Our ethos is that care experienced young people deserve a safe and nurturing home environment where they can ‘thrive’ in all aspects of their lives.

Our practice is based on a ‘person centered’ and ‘outcome focused’ environment where the young person’s wishes and feelings are at the center of everything we do. Crucially, our main goal is for the young person to achieve stability and independence. We place emphasis on our young people engaging in education, employment and obtaining sustainable accommodation.  This ensures they have all the necessary skills and resources for a stable adult life.

 

ISW care provides a wide range of services to support young people towards an independent life as an adult. We provide services ranging from practical support and advice for those at immediate risk of homelessness and for care experienced young people to help with learning and education and how to find employment, cook healthy meals or budget for household bills. 

We want to help young people’s voices be heard and be at the heart of any decision-making processes; to help them navigate the systems of support available and to resolve any difficulties they have been facing.

We offer:

24 hour group living placements

Emergency placement

Planned transition placement

Step down from high cost residential care

Solo independent placements with Floating support

UASC supported placement under the national dispersal scheme

 

ISW Care also have robust reporting systems that seek to keep placing authorities and in particular, social workers and personal advisors informed of day-to day progress, positive behaviour and any safeguarding concerns.

We strongly believe in maintaining effective and meaningful communication, which is an essential part of meeting the needs of young people and keeping them safe from potential harm. ISW Care is recognized as being one of the leading providers of semi-independent accommodation in Greater Manchester and the North West.

We are proud to share that we are one of the approved providers on the Placement North West framework for 16 plus accommodation and achieved a overall score of 94.8% for quality and social value. We are able to work closely with Local Authorities and social workers to provide simple or complex packages of support that focuses on the young person’s strengths and meets the needs of young people.

Our approach

At ISW care we recognise that every young person has individual needs and plans are tailored to those needs. We do not use a blanket approach.
